The Solo Exhibition

Hi, there.

The solo Exhibition finished at the end of October.

MY illustration changed its style a lot since I went to NY, so I was a bit worried about if people would like it or now. However, I feel my new illustration worked well on the wall with positive comments of bar owner or audience and lots of postcards sold.

This time, my friends helped me a lot for doing this. I cannot say enough thank you but let me say “thank you very much” one more time. I couldn’t make it without your help.

I show what I showed at exhibition on my website so please take a look at my works there. They are illustrations based on 2 different stories. I hope you will like it.

10月いっぱい新宿のJazz Spot Jにて開催していた個展が終了しました！

ここ数カ月で色々な刺激をうけ、今までとはだいぶ異なるイラストを描くようになったので、正直最初は皆様の反応が不安でしたが、ご好評頂けたとのことでとっても嬉しいです。

今回は冗談抜きに本当に沢山の方々のお世話になり、何とかやりきった個展ということもあって嬉しさも倍増。来てくださった沢山の方々、あとはもう、しつこいかもしれませんが何度お礼をいっても言い足りないお2人、物語を描いてくれたanさんと、Jを紹介してくださった駒野逸美さん、本当にありがとうございました。

個展で展示していたイラストをHPに載せていますので、ぜひご覧になってください。イラストは続きもののお話しになっていますよ。

個展に来てくださったみなさま、Blogにきてくださったみなさま、これからもどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

Exhibition in October

Hi, there!

I got a amazing chance to have an exhibition in October.
My friend, who is a professional Trombone player, Itsumi Komano reommended my work to the owner of this wonderful Jazz spot in Shinjuku, Tokyo. (JazzSpot J)
This is of course famouse as a Jazz place, but also the garelly space is also famouse as amazing illustrators like Setsuko Tamura or Ado Mizumori often use this space for their show.
So much appreciation for my friend, Itsumi!

For this exhibition, I wil challenge a new illustration sequences based on the story my friend write for this time. And thank you for my friend, again!

 I am totally excited about this show and hope a lot of people come to see it. This is a Jazz place, so of course, you also can enjoy the music, not only for the exhibition.

こんにちは。

今度の10月、新宿のJazzSpotJさんにて、初の個展をやらせていただくことになりました！ジャズトロンボーンニストの駒野逸美さんによるご紹介で実現した今回の展示、本当にうれしい限りでございます。もちろんこちらはジャズスポットとしてはすごく有名なのですが、ギャラリーも、田村せつ子さんや水森アドさんが展示で利用するほどの人気スペース。駒野さんに心から感謝ですね。

もうちょっと時間もありませんが、今回は友人が書いてくれる物語をベースに、イラストを展開していきたいなと考えております。時間がないのに引き受けてくれた友人へ心から感謝！絵本のような感じにしたいなと思います。

NYで変わったイラストを見て頂く絶好の機会になりますので、たくさんの方にお越しいただけたらと思っております。もちろん、JAZZの演奏もお楽しみいただけますので、あわせてスケジュール確認してみてくださいね！よろしくお願い致します。

Open Studio at SVA

Here are photos from the Open Studio we had at SVA last month.
Although that day was super heavy rainy, a lot of people come to see our show. We appreciate it so much.
I hanged the illustration sequences I did for Anna Raff class, a little comic for Paul Hoppe's  and some editorial illustrations for Viktor Koen's, and put the sketch book on the table as well.
It was great honor that I could have such a wonderful opportunity; show my works in NYC with talented artists/illustrators coming from all over the world.
I think I had a great start for my new illustration life.

Again, Thank you so much for coming and for everyone helped my NY visit.

先日、ニューヨークはSVAスタジオにて、イラストレーションレジデンスのみんなとグループ展をさせていただきました。凄まじい豪雨だったにも関わらず来てくださったみなさまに、心より感謝申し上げます。

ここでは、Anna Raffクラスでやってきた物語のためのイラストと、 Paul Hoppeのクラスのショートコミック、Viktor Koenのクラスのイラスト展示と、スケッチブックを置かせていただきました。

世界中から来た才能あふれるイラストレーターのみんなと、ニューヨークでこのような機会が得られたこと、ものすごく光栄に思っています。素晴らしすぎる新スタートだと思います。

最後に、来てくださったみなさま、それと、今回の旅を支えてくださった皆様に心からの感謝の気持ちを送ります。

Sketch Night at the Society of Illustrators in NYC

Hi, there!

Here are my fashion illustration of the sketch night at the Society of Illustratorsin NYC in July.
There were 3 female models standing and posing on the stage for about 7 minutes. I thought 7 minutes was pretty nice for me and models.
The room was enough large for sketch but full of so many people. I was so surprised at those bunch of people but this sketch night reminded me how much I am passionate about it.

Sketch Night at the Society of Illustration in NYC

こんにちは。

本日は、先月イラストレーター協会のスケッチナイトで描いたファッションイラストをご紹介したいと思います。
会場に3人の女性モデルさんがいて、台の上でポージングしているモデルさんを約7分で描きあげます。もう少し時間ほしいけれど、モデルデッサンはだいたいこのくらいで描き上げるくらいの方がいい。ちなみに部屋は十分にすぎるくらい広い空間でしたが、なんとも人が多いこと。さすがニューヨーク。でも、ここへ行ったことで、自分がデッサンをどれだけ好きなのか再確認することができたように思います。
